The Beacon did not get its lease renewed with the forestry service therefore it closed. However, since then a new lease was granted and the restaurant/bar is now called The Grove. Same staff and ambience. This place has great views, right on the beach with live music outside on most summer weekends. The Rum Runners are their signature drink, handed down from The Beacon with a slight adjustment (for proprietary reasons). A bit pricey but just keep looking at the gorgeous view while drinking rum runners and eating calamari! Btw, great versatile menu too. Enjoy!

Great service, friendly staff, and amazing food! We got the steak fries, wings, and fish tacos. Would definitely come back for more!

I had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful place about a year ago, and I'm finally taking the time to share my experience. The food may be simple, but it's incredibly tasty. What truly won me over was the ambiance and the captivating view from the window. After enjoying a delightful brunch, we strolled along the beach right in front of the restaurant. The views were nothing short of breathtaking! In just a week, I'll be returning to this gem, and I'm bringing a bunch of friends along. I can't wait to see how their experience unfolds!

The wait time was about 45 minutes, and we were given a buzzer for when our time was up. The greeting waitress told us that we can go out back if we would like while we waited as the buzzer has signal from pier to pier. The back patio has fire pits and a bar area. We didn't have drinks but went out to the beach access, and we loved it. Our daughter enjoyed the snow, the roaming ducks and the loud music. The atmosphere is very homey. Fireplace and stunning view of the lake with huge windows overlooking the lake. It's relatively small in square footage so the bar area is a little right when trying to walk out back. Pricey food because you're paying for the view. Personally, we didn't mind the price. The food was delicious. I don't remember the name of this menu item, but i thiiiiink it was the garden strawberry salmon salad? I could be wrong. SO GOOD. I tried so hard to take little bites because it was so delicious. The salmon married the rice and brocollini. My daughter had the kids elbow pasta with meat sauce (also was yummy!) and husband the French dip. He said it was really good. We will definitely be returning!
